Summer STORM CLEAN-UP
LERT Visits Walcamp
Mid-July brought some serious summer storms through our area. Two days in a row, Walcamp saw severe weather that damaged many trees around our campus. Praise God, no buildings with people in them sustained damage, but we did lose many trees to the tornado-like winds.
LERT was called and answered in a BIG way! The following weekend, they arrived with more than 30 trained volunteers and a lot of heavy equipment to cut and remove the damaged trees.
What a great gift this organization is to us and other community members. The cost of hiring a removal service would not be within our reach but praise God that Lutheran Church Charities understands disaster relief and provides these trained men and women for situations like this. Thanks to:
