Summer STORM CLEAN-UP

LERT Visits Walcamp

Mid-July brought some serious summer storms through our area. Two days in a row, Walcamp saw severe weather that damaged many trees around our campus. Praise God, no buildings with people in them sustained damage, but we did lose many trees to the tornado-like winds.

LERT was called and answered in a BIG way! The following weekend, they arrived with more than 30 trained volunteers and a lot of heavy equipment to cut and remove the damaged trees.

What a great gift this organization is to us and other community members. The cost of hiring a removal service would not be within our reach but praise God that Lutheran Church Charities understands disaster relief and provides these trained men and women for situations like this. Thanks to:

Walcamp will end its year-long 60th celebration SOON

We are still working towards our goal of 60 new monthly donors during our 60th year of ministry. Think about the lives you can impact with your gift. here are a few examples of how far your gift goes...

$20/month provides enough money for a child to attend day camp for 1 week
$50/month provides 1 week of summer camp for a child and 1 new bunk mattress
$100/month provides 1 full day of specialized staff training for our Summer Staff

These ongoing monthly gifts are necessary for us to meet our monthly commitments during the low-revenue months. They also allow us to plan confidently as we seek new ways to serve our community and share the love of Christ. Click HERE for more information and to sign up.
