Day Camp

The best option for your summer day care needs. Hike in the woods, canoe, wade in a river, play games and still be home by dinner! Try a day or stay the whole summer!

Day Camp Summary

  • Our Summer Day Camps run Monday through Friday, except as noted
  • Try a day or stay the whole summer!
  • Drop-off times are between 8:00 am and 8:30 am
  • Pick-up times are between 5:00 pm and 5:30 pm
  • Campers are required to bring a large plastic container, their "Loot Box," to store their belongings for the day. They may also bring a day pack to carry on their adventures.
    • Loot boxes may be dropped off on your child's first camp day each week and picked up on their last day each week.
    • Please do not leave your belongings at camp over the weekends.
  • Plan for daily water activities (swimming, canoeing, playing in the mud).
  • Daily STEM enrichment activities.

Sleep-away Camps

Sleep-away Camp Summary

  • Our Summer Sleep-Away Camps run Sunday through Friday, except as noted
    • Drop-off times are between 5:00 pm to 5:30 pm on the first day listed (typically Sunday)
    • Our Closing Ceremony is Friday at 11:00 am followed by check-out until 11:45 am, or at 11 am on the last day listed.
    • Please plan on feeding your camper before arrival on Sunday and after pick-up on Friday.

Sleep-away Camp Options

  • Classic Camp - $450/week
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 6-9 (Discovery) and Ages 10-14 (Explorers)
    • Our Classic Camps offer week-long adventures that include our all-time favorite activities. Canoe, swim, hike, play games, build craft projects, shoot archery, roast s’mores, explore God’s creation and learn about the love of Jesus in fun new ways!
      • Discovery Camp is a great option for first-time campers!
      • Explorers Camp gives middle-grade campers the best of our on-site activities!
  • NEW! Camp Inside Out (Classic Camp, level 2) - $450/week
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 10-14
    • Camp Inside Out is a new option for middle-grade introverts. Enjoy a relaxed schedule with time in nature to read, explore some creative expression, hang in a hammock or simply stop and smell the flowers. Based on our Classic Camp program, this week-long adventure also includes some of our all-time favorite activities. Rest in God’s creation and experience the love of Jesus in fun new ways!
  • Treehouse Village (Classic Camp, level 2) - $450/week
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 10-14
    • Live in the trees, cook your own meals and level up your camp experience. Our Classic Camps offer week-long adventures that include our all-time favorite activities. Canoe, swim, hike, play games, build craft projects, shoot archery, roast s’mores, explore God’s creation and learn about the love of Jesus in fun new ways!
  • Gamer Camp - $500/week - Back by popular demand!
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 10-14
    • Ready, player One! If you want to experience your video games in real life, this middle-grade camp is a perfect fit for you! Camper play team-oriented console games like Mario Kart, Dance Revolution, Tony Hawk Pro Skate... and then go AFK (away from keyboard) and try these experiences IRL (in real life). Options may include Go-Karts, lessons at a local Skate Park, paintball, and an evening playing at a vintage Video Arcade. We also include camp classics such as swimming, archery, Bible Encounters and more. Enjoy some fun, positive competition and take your interest in games to the next level.
    • Campers should plan on sleeping in our Treehouse Village.
  • Teen Adventures Camp - $525/week
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 14-17
    • Adventure is out there! Enjoy the best of our summer camp activities, and work with you group to choose your own adventures! Options this year may include hammock camping, paintball, a river canoe trip, visiting a local Zip Line and Challenge Course, and other Jr High level camp fun. Don't miss this chance to create your own camp experience!
  • Teen Canoe Trip - $500/week
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 14-17
    • Prepare for a Rockin' canoeing adventure! Take a week to explore what faith means to you while floating the Rock River and tent camping with other teens. Get close and personal with the God of creation who wants to rock your world.
  • Owl Night Camp- $500/week
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 12-17
    • Sleep all day and stay out all night as you experience the life of night-time animals, learn about the stars and God’s creativity, and experience a week of night-time adventures in this fun camp twist!
  • Horse Riding Camp- $525/week (pending partnership with a new stable)
    • Sunday 5pm to Friday 11:30am
    • Ages 12-17
    • Giddy-up! Improve your horsemanship as you ride each day at a local stable, then return to camp for more classic camp fun and grow closer to God and to other youth who share your love of horses. Beginning and intermediate riders welcomed, with opportunities to practice skills and play with your faithful, four-footed steed. Yee-haw!
  • Teen Leaders - $450/week
    • Teen Leaders I:
      • Experience hands-on leadership through team challenges and practice skills such as public speaking, building community, and facilitating Bible studies and group activities with other teens.
      • Ages 13-17
      • Teen Leaders age 14 and older are eligible to return to camp as Jr Counselors.

Camp Agape
Serving persons with developmental disabilities

Camp Agape serves persons with special needs. Campers hike, canoe, fish, swim, and play games requiring some physical ability alongside their camp “buddies.” Our integrated groups serve about six campers per two team members or volunteers.

Camp Agape Summary

  • Walcamp evaluates the needs of each individual to determine the best program fit for them.
    • Integrated Programs are for independent campers and may include active (running) games with other youth programs. Supervision for integrated programs is typically 6 campers to 2 staff or volunteer.
    • Dedicated Programs are for campers requiring closer personal attention to make camp a success. Supervision for dedicated programs is typically 2 campers to 1 staff or volunteer. Because of additional risk factors related to COVID-19, our dedicated Camp Agape programs are temporarily suspended.

  • 2021 Camp Agape Advent Retreat - December 17-19, 2021 (Friday-Sunday)
    • Campers and Volunteers celebrate Advent and Christmas with outdoor activities and games, seasonal crafts, songs, stories and an afternoon of bowling at a local Alley.
  • 2022 Camp Agape Easter Retreat - April 8-10, 2022 (Friday-Sunday)
    • Campers and Volunteers celebrate the Easter holiday with outdoor activities and games, seasonal crafts, songs, stories and an afternoon of bowling at a local Alley.
  • 2022 Week 2 - June 5-10, 2022 (Sunday-Friday)
    • Camp Agape Invitational (Sunday-Friday)
      • Serving in partnership with a local house to provide the camp experience to their residents
    • Camp Agape Volunteer (Sunday-Friday)
  • 2022 Week 4 - June 19-24, 2022 (Sunday-Friday)
    • Camp Agape Integrated (Sunday-Friday)
      • Ideal for campers with some independence - typically 6-8 campers per 2 team member or volunteers.

CAMP AGAPE VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

Join us for a week as a "Camp Buddy" and share the camp experience and the love of Jesus with individuals who need camp the most during this season of social and physical distancing. Our ability to offer these programs can be directly influenced by the number of helping hands willing to serve. See for yourself why many of our camp staff and volunteers describe Camp Agape as "the best week of my summer!"

  • High School students are asked to register as Jr Counselors
  • Adults age 18 or older please register as Adult Volunteers
  • Can't attend for an entire week or weekend event? Please contact our Program Director if you can serve for a day, or if you want to help in other ways.

Summer Program Summary

PLAY!
Experience the best of camp through games, archery, crafts, songs, swimming and more. Activities meet or exceed the safety standards outlined by the American Camping Association (ACA) and are supervised by trained staff members.

GROW!
Make new friends, try new activities and challenge yourself physically, mentally and spiritually. Camp provides a safe place to ask questions and to explore truths seen in Creation and in the Bible.

SERVE!
Live in community with others, demonstrate teamwork and find opportunities to put your faith into action.

Walcamp's leadership team and staff place a high emphasis on knowing that you TRUST us with your treasures. We have modified our experience to meet or exceed IDPH and CDC protocols and recommendations.
