Bill "Music Man" Indelli is no stranger to Walcamp.  His kid's have attended summer camp, he has been part of Fall Festival Music for many years and since April of 2016 served Walcamp as the Site Operations Director.  Bill brings 36 years in Leadership, Retail, Sales and Marketing to Walcamp.  He is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and School in Batavia where he serves on the Praise and Worship Team.  Bill is married to Jen and has 4 children and 2 grandchildren.  In his downtime he enjoys playing and recording music, camping and fishing.

Ben Konrad

Ben “Mufasa” Konrad served at Walcamp in various roles from 2000 to 2010, and he returns in 2017 to take on the Program Director role. Ben has a background in Education and Visual Communication and brings 10 years of full-time youth ministry experience to the team, having served at five camps and also, for a brief time, as a classroom teacher. Ben and his wife Lindsay spend their free time exploring zoos, national parks, museums and local bookstores. Ben also plays guitar, reads children's literature, plays games, sketches, participates in NaNoWriMo - an annual novel writing challenge – and has self-published some of his creative works. Ben’s favorite part of camp is showing the wonders of God’s creation to others and sharing the love of Jesus with them. His favorite Bible verse is 1 John 1:1 “That which we have seen… we pass on to you.”

 

Ranelle Palmer

Ranelle started working at Walcamp in 2008.  She and her husband live in Genoa with their daugheter. Ranelle loves nature, camping in her motor home, and cooking and spending quality time with her Grandson Jax.

Lindsay "Ducky" Konrad

Lindsay "Ducky" Konrad joined the Walcamp family in 2017.  Walcamp is Lindsay's fifth camp and she is excited about the opportunity to share her love of camp, nature and ministry.  She has 9 years of camp experience and has spent time as naturalist in a classroom setting and for the WI Dept. of Natural Resources.  In her free time she enjoys visiting zoos, national and state parks, museums and book stores with her husband Ben.  She also enjoys reading young adult books, bird watching, swimming, playing games and exploring nature.  Lindsay's favorite part of camp is sharing the wonder of God's creation with others.

Rev. Tim Bayer
President

Tim is the Lead Pastor at St. Mark's Church in St. Charles, Illinois. His life's calling is to reach and multiply the next generation of leaders who make a difference where they live, work, and play. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Concordia University Chicago, a Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and is ABD for his Doctor of Education from Concordia University Portland. Prior to moving to Chicagoland, he served in outdoor and student ministry, multi-site and non-profit development, and congregations in Missouri and Washington state. He is married to Beth and together, they have three children: Ethan, Noah, and Jonah. As a family, they enjoy travel, family time, and being outdoors. As a couple, Beth and Tim enjoy exploring ethnic foods and fine wine.

Jennifer Marler
Treasurer

Jennifer joined the Board in April of 2014 and serves as Treasurer.  Her ties to Walcamp began as a child, from which she has fond memories of attending camp and the annual Fall Festival.  Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bradley University, is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.   She resides in Chicago with her husband Tim and enjoys traveling, scrapbooking and is an avid baseball fan, especially when cheering on the Chicago White Sox.

Rev. Bill Ryden
Secretary


Bill is Pastor of Hope Lutheran Church in Shorewood, Il. He served on Walcamp’s summer staff from 1991-1994 and 1996. His wife, Kim is also a former summer staff member. Together they have 4 children. Bill has a BA degree from Concordia College, Ann Arbor, MI. with a major in Biblical Languages. He graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis in 1998. Bill joined the Board of Directors in 2017. His desire is to be a faithful disciple and help others to become more like Jesus for a God-given impact on the world.

 

Jacob Heine
Board Member

Jacob is Pastor at Christ the Rock in Rockford, IL. He has seen his personal mission to help others grow in their faith life and lead others to be disciples who make disciples. He believes that when we see Christ in all things, Christ can be all things in our lives. Jacob holds a Bachelors of Arts degree from Western Michigan University, Kalamazoo, MI, a Master of Divinity from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and is finishing up his final two class and MAP for the Doctor of Ministry degree from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Prior to moving to Rockford, Jacob has served congregations in New York, Nebraska, and Tennessee. He is married to Theresa and they have two children: Hannah and Paige.

Beth Bierline
Board Member

Beth is a middle school science teacher at Immanuel Lutheran School in Batavia, Illinois. She is a graduate of Concordia University Chicago and has served over 20 years in NID Lutheran Schools ranging from inner city to suburban locations.  She has a passion for youth, young adults, and their faith development.  Her love of Walcamp started when she went to outdoor education at Walcamp in sixth grade and has continued by sending her daughter to Walcamp for summer camp.  She is married to Jim and is mom to Jon and Aliya(also known as the Junior Counselor Lilium).
