Brad Weiss
Exectutive Director

Brad Weiss assumed his role as Executive Director in Feb 2017. He brings over 30 years of teaching and ministry experience to Walcamp. Brad holds degrees in business, engineering and law and has worked in the Defense and Aerospace industry for 26 years. He lives in Hampshire with his wife, Patty, and their two daughters Whitney and Devin. In his limited free time, Brad loves to mountain bike, ski, shoot, hike, read military history, play softball and converse with his gregarious blue and gold macaw.

Bill “Music Man” Indelli assumed this role in April of 2016.  He brings 36 years of experience in Leadership, Retail, Sales and Marketing to Walcamp.  He lives in North Aurora with his wife Jen and daughter Vera.  He has 4 Children and 2 Grandchildren.   In his downtime Bill enjoys playing music, camping and fishing.

Ben Konrad

Ben “Mufasa” Konrad served at Walcamp in various roles from 2000 to 2010, and he returns in 2017 to take on the Program Director role. Ben has a background in Education and Visual Communication and brings 10 years of full-time youth ministry experience to the team, having served at five camps and also, for a brief time, as a classroom teacher. Ben and his wife Lindsay spend their free time exploring zoos, national parks, museums and local bookstores. Ben also plays guitar, reads children's literature, plays games, sketches, participates in NaNoWriMo - an annual novel writing challenge – and has self-published some of his creative works. Ben’s favorite part of camp is showing the wonders of God’s creation to others and sharing the love of Jesus with them. His favorite Bible verse is 1 John 1:1 “That which we have seen… we pass on to you.”

Lindsay "Ducky" Konrad

Lindsay "Ducky" Konrad joined the Walcamp family in 2017.  Walcamp is Lindsay's fifth camp and she is excited about the opportunity to share her love of camp, nature and ministry.  She has 9 years of camp experience and has spent time as naturalist in a classroom setting and for the WI Dept. of Natural Resources.  In her free time she enjoys visiting zoos, national and state parks, museums and book stores with her husband Ben.  She also enjoys reading young adult books, bird watching, swimming, playing games and exploring nature.  Lindsay's favorite part of camp is sharing the wonder of God's creation with others.

Travis “Trails” Hughes is a thrill seeker who loves to be active and on the move. He loves to wander: between places, ideas, and people.   Before becoming the Development Specialist at Walcamp Outdoor Ministries Trails was a High Adventure Program guide in the Appalachian Mountains, a 60 mile canoe trek guide in the swamps of Louisiana, and backpacker in the Bear Tooth Mountains of Wyoming.

Ranelle started working at Walcamp in 2008.  She and her husband live in Genoa with their daugheter. Ranelle loves nature, camping in her motor home, and cooking and spending quality time with her Grandson Jax.

Chris Schnackel
Board Chairman

Chris joined the Walcamp Board of Directors in 2009 and has served as President since January, 2016. He also serves as Chair of the Properties Committee. He is a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in East Dundee. Chris went to work at his father's company Palatine Heating & Cooling after high school.  Chris took over as President of Palatine Heating and Cooling with his father's passing in 2011.  Has been married 26 years to his wife Vicky, and has two boys Matthew and Thomas. He spends most of his free time out at Walcamp camping with his family.  You can find Chris at Camp most weekends from April through November. Chris is a huge football fan, Chicago Bears is his favorite team.

Jennifer Marler
Treasurer

Jennifer joined the Board in April of 2014 and serves as Treasurer.  Her ties to Walcamp began as a child, from which she has fond memories of attending camp and the annual Fall Festival.  Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Bradley University, is a Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Internal Auditor.   She resides in Chicago with her husband Tim and enjoys traveling, scrapbooking and is an avid baseball fan, especially when cheering on the Chicago White Sox.

John Seisser
Board Member

A life long resident of the Genoa-Kingston area. I am currently a service manager for a HVAC company, and retired maintenance technician for the school district. Retired Chief of the G-K Rescue Squad (17 years). Married and have three children and 6 grandchildren. Member and elder of Trinity Lutheran Church Genoa,IL.

Sean Hoyer
Board Member


Sean has served on the Board on several occasions, most recently since 2009. He is past President (2009 - 2015). He attended Walcamp as a camper, Special Needs Camp volunteer, and 3 summers as a counselor. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University and holds a Master's in Social Service Administration from the University of Chicago. He is a long-time member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Palatine, IL. As a Clinical Social Worker, Sean has worked in community mental health, wilderness therapy, private practice counseling, and the Veteran's Health Administration. He has assisted non-profit and government agencies and organizations implement positive change. Sean also serves as a Reservist in the United States Air Force. He is married with two school-aged children and lives in Highland Park, IL.
